  System Builder (OEM) Software is called original equipment manufacturer to the company that manufactures products that are bought by another company and retailed under the brand name of the buyer company.

 

 OEM acronyms commonly refer to the manufacturer of the original product. For example, if Acme Manufacturing Co. manufactures power cables used in IBM computers, Acme is the OEM. The cable is an OEM product. Sometimes, there are OEM products for sale directly to the public.

About HP or Hewlett-Packard

The Hewlett-Packard better known as HP, is an American company of the largest companies of information technology in the world, based in Palo Alto, California. Manufactured and marketed hardware and software as well as providing support services related to computer science. The company was founded in 1939 by William Hewlett and David Packard, and was engaged in the manufacture of electronic measuring instruments and laboratory.

 

 On October 6, 2014, Hewlett-Packard announced its split into two firms would be listed separately on the stock market, bringing its business computers and printers operate independent of its equipment and services unit corporative. On November it became effective its division into two companies: HP Inc., dedicated to printers and personal computers, Hewlett Packard and Enterprise dedicated servers, storage and networking equipment, software and services for third parties. How HP begin…

Bill Hewlett and David Packard were two companions at Stanford University. In the garage of his casa they built an audio oscillator, electronic test instrument used by sound engineers.

He began a career in electronic test equipment and testing laboratory. Later, in 1968 they entered the business of electronic calculators with great success: HP 9100A (1968), the first calculator manufactured by HP. HP-35 (1972), the first scientific hand calculator. HP-65 (1975), the first programmable calculator hand. HP-41C (1979), the first and expandable alphanumeric calculator hand. HP-28C (1987), the first calculator capable of solving equations symbolically.

 

A chronology of the development of HP:

Most HP calculators use the reverse polish notation, in English, or RPN Reverse Polish Notation. HP entered the computer field in 1966 with the 2116A, the first of the HP 1000 series designed to collect and analyze the data produced by HP instruments.

The HP 1000 computers are used for CIM applications, such as monitoring and process control, alarm management and supervision of machines.

In 1972, HP branched out, entering the business computing with the 3000 series, a multiuser system that became well known for its extremely high reliability, especially for that time. The 3000 series of great success, has continued to be the main series of HP computers and has evolved into a whole family of computers from micro to mainframe.
